Open on YouTubeWhat to Focus on for Level 149
This part of Meowdoku usually tests long chains across rows, columns, and colors. Before placing a cat, scan every colored region and identify the smallest one. Then check whether any of its cells would block a neighboring row through diagonal adjacency.
After every forced placement, rescan the neighboring rows for newly impossible cells.
A Reliable Solving Pattern
- 1. Find the smallest or most awkward colored region.
- 2. Remove cells that would touch another forced cat candidate.
- 3. Check whether a row or column has only one legal color left.
- 4. Repeat until every row, column, and color has one cat.
Level 149 Tip
Treat adjacency as a removal rule
Every placed cat removes the eight surrounding cells from consideration. Even a candidate that is not final yet can help you see which neighboring cells cannot both be used.
